EQUI-CENTER CLINIC
DESCRIPTION
BALANCE! STRENGTH! FLEXIBILITY!
All of these are vital components to becoming a successful equestrian. This is the perfect opportunity for riders in all disciplines to increase their awareness of body control, to find center, identify and activate the muscles necessary to ride well at all levels in any discipline.
Educate your nervous system to “find center”. Learn methods that improve the pathways from brain to body. Enable yourself to become a more sensitive rider by being in total “self-control”. Increase your knowledge of your muscle structure and core strength.
Liz Drew, a long time SLADS member and area Dressage Trainer, has made the study of body control for the dressage rider her passion. She encourages all equestrians to strengthen their riding skills through workouts developed specifically to their level of competence, physical capabilities and most importantly, their goals. Using actual time on the mat, Bosu and exercise ball she will introduce exercises that target improving the seat through strength training, core and balance work, body awareness along with independent seat and hand exercises.
